Your Toyota 4Runner service schedule starts with its 5,000 mile or six month service interval. Every six months your Toyota 4Runner needs to following services to ensure it runs properly on your Bluffton commute:

- Check installation of driver’s floor mat
- Check for open campaigns/recalls
- Replace engine oil and filter
- Replace drain plug gasket
- Rotate tires, check condition/tread depth
- Set tire pressures to correct psi
- Inspect wiper inserts/blades
- Check all exterior light bulbs are functioning
- Visually inspect brake linings/drums and brake pads/disks
- Inspect and adjust all fluid levels
- Reset maintenance reminder light
- Perform multi-point inspection with print-out
If you use your Toyota 4Runner for frequent heavy towing or off-roading, then you should also perform the following services every 5,000 miles.
- Inspect ball joints and dust covers
- Inspect drive shaft boots (4WD)

- Re-torque propeller shaft bolt

- Tighten nuts and bolts on chassis and body

Your Toyota 4Runner maintenance schedule will also require a 18 month/15,000 mile service interval. This interval takes a closer look at your vehicle’s components to ensure everything is working properly and to identify any problems before they become major repairs.
