Toyota Has Unveiled a Redesigned Camry for 2018

The eighth-generation Toyota Camry was recently unveiled at the legendary Detroit Auto Show, sport a charming new design. According to Bob Carter, Toyota’s Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations, “The all-new 2018 Camry is, without a doubt, the most captivating mid-size sedan we’ve ever produced.” Let’s take a closer look at what drivers can expect from the 2018 Toyota Camry’s redesign!

Sleek Proportions and Sculpting

For the 2018 model year, Toyota fans can expect a sportier, more emotive Camry with a lower center of gravity for sharper handling and feedback. A few notable exterior changes include a longer wheelbase, a lowered hood, a redesigned front bumper, a winged grille adorned with the Toyota symbol, and horizontal taillamps that overlap downward-sloping rear vents. Familiar athletic enhancements, such a rear spoiler and an air diffuser, will be available on certain trims.

Powertrains and Fuel-Efficiency

The 2018 Toyota Camry promises the same high-caliber performance drivers have come to anticipate – and more. Upon its arrival, the 2018 Camry Sedan will offer three powertrains: an all-new 2.5L 4-cylinder base engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, a next-level 3.5L V6 engine, and a hybrid with a CVT. Slated to rival even the Prius’ fuel economy, the 2018 Camry Hybrid will be a viable option for Hilton Head drivers looking to slash fuel expenses.

Trims and Features

Available in four trims, LE, XLE, SE, and XSE, the upcoming Toyota Camry promises something for just about any driver. As well as exteriorly, the 2018 Camry will hold your attention interiorly with an ultra-modern center console, easy-access touchscreen buttons, and an available Head-Up Display. Notable safety features include Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and 10 standard airbags.
